In the Ägyptisches Museum (Egyptian Museum), ARIADNE will tell you more about the dignified queen Nefertiti, as well as about her dynasty and the religious reforms initiated by her. On the tour through the reconstructed offering chambers of Egyptian tombs, you will get authentic insights into the conceptions of afterlife and the gods cult of the ancient Egyptians.
The Neues Museum also houses the Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte, the oldest museum for prehistory and early history in the world. Here, a 47,000-year-old Neanderthal was presented to the public for the first time. Even today he still casts a spell on numerous visitors. Get an impression of the lifestyle of our ancestors with ARIADNE.
Further highlights of the collections are the archaeological findings of Heinrich Schliemann with Priam’s Treasure from Troy. No less impressive is the 3,000-year-old Berlin Gold Hat, which corresponds to a perfect calendar of 19 years and most likely served as a power instrument to a priest.

Another focus of the tour is the architectural debate with the much-discussed reconstruction of the building by David Chipperfield Architects. They succeeded in a spectacular architectural balancing act between history and the present. With ARIADNE, both adults and children will be able to experience the architectural history of the museum.
